Dear Residents
An update from your local Sherbourne Police Team.
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?
Officers have been conducting pro-active patrols in the area to try and catch illegal off road bikes and electric bikes. If you have any information about where these bikes are being kept or addresses that they are seen going into, please report it to us.
We have been receiving an increased number of reports regarding un-taxed vehicles being used. This issue can also be reported to the DVLA who will clamp un-taxed vehicles.
Proactive foot patrols have been conducted at the Alvis Retail Park. We have visited the shops and spoke to members of the public about concerns they have in the local area. Please come and speak to us if you see us there.
CRIME UPDATE
A residential burglary has been reported in Dulverton Avenue. Offenders broke into the property through the rear patio doors and took the keys to the victims vehicle. Offenders were not able to start the vehicle and made off.
We have received reports of anti-social behaviour on the Holyhead Road and Lammas Road. Patrols will be conducted at the times relevant to what’s been reported.
A vehicle has also been reported stolen from the car park of the Holyhead Public House. Investigations are ongoing.
FIX MY STREET
A reminder that you can report fly tipping on the council FIX MY STREET app. They offer a very prompt service and can remove all types of rubbish. We are seeing an increase in fly tipping so it is a handy app to download and use.
FORUM MEETING
We shall leave this reminder for the forum meeting on the weekly message service in case we have new members join WMNow.
The Sherbourne PACT/Forum meeting will be held at the Coundon Social club on Thursday 20th November from 6pm until 7pm.
Please come along to discuss any issues you may have. We will also invite the local councillors.
Regards
Sherbourne Neighbourhood Police Team
GET INVOLVED
Street watch is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe, including just walking round your neighbourhood, which can really help. Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you. You will also be patrolling with your local PCSO’s once a month.
